Can you tell me what your position at craftworks is and what you have been working on?

For the time of my Internship I was working as a business administration assistant and my tasks were supporting the final accounting, business process modeling and creating a more appealing visualization of the processes in Miro. Besides that, I did research for the knowledge management and craftworks’ product FLEXIDESK. I also searched for ideas regarding the analysis of FLEXIDESK data.

Which craftworks value is most important to you and why?

Lifelong learning. For constant development you have to be eager to learn.

Could you describe craftworks in 3 words?

Innovative, welcoming and special.

What difference do you notice compared to your previous internships?

craftworks is a lot more flexible and dynamic in every aspect, e.g. regarding working hours and location. You can work anywhere in the world. Furthermore, craftworks is flexible in the way that you can develop yourself further in different areas and change tasks or departments. Another difference is the company culture, as there are no deep hierarchies at craftworks and because of the same interests and openness of craftworks employees, friendships are formed.

What did you like the most about your work/ internship?

Getting lots of insights into different tasks, departments and products. I learned a lot! I’ve already done lots of internships in companies from very diverse industries but craftworks stands out for me and I could well imagine working in this company after my studies!

What did your typical day at craftworks look like?

I usually arrived at the office at around 8 and I wished everyone a good morning in Slack. I made myself a coffee and then checked my emails and calendar. Then, I started to work off the tasks for that day. At lunch time, we ordered food and ate together. In the afternoons I had some meetings with coworkers to collaborate on some tasks and usually I left at around half past 4.

How would you describe the Onboarding process at craftworks?

It was very nice to have lots of meetings with so many different colleagues, who showed and explained many things to me. That way, I easily got to know my coworkers. Everyone was very welcoming, which also helped a lot during the onboarding.

Could you please tell us more about your educational background?

I did my bachelor’s program in Innsbruck in Management and Economics and then my master’s program in Digital Economy at WU in Vienna.

What do you take away from your time at craftworks?

A lot of new knowledge, friendships and future perspectives.

Any famous last thoughts you would like to share with us?

I am grateful that I have been able to work here, that I have met many nice people and that I can take away so many beautiful memories.
