You will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced data science solutions in the field of industrial AI. Are you passionate about turning complex data into scalable machine learning systems? Do you enjoy tackling challenging analytical problems and collaborating with interdisciplinary data and software teams? Great! Among other things, you will master these tasks in your role as a Data Scientist in Industrial AI:
design, develop, and implement data science and machine learning solutions that are reliable, scalable, and production-ready
process, analyze, and model large volumes of tabular and time-series data to generate actionable insights
develop, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning and large language models with a strong focus on code quality, testing, and reproducibility
monitor, optimize, and continuously improve existing models using advanced techniques such as feature engineering, data augmentation, sampling strategies, and ensembling
stay curious and up to date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and industrial AI, bringing innovative ideas into projects and products
take ownership of your work from problem formulation and data exploration to productive deployment and measurable customer impact
collaborate closely with data engineers, software engineers, customers, and other stakeholders to turn complex requirements into scalable AI solutions
communicate methods, results, and insights clearly through compelling visualizations and well-structured explanations
set high standards for writing, testing, and maintaining high-performance Python code, serving as a role model within the team
approach complex challenges with creativity and scientific rigor, pushing the boundaries of the current state of the art

BSc/MSc/PhD in a technical field, e.g., machine learning, data science, software engineering, physics, or mathematics
At least 3 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or data engineering
Analytical mindset
Structured and goal-oriented approach to work
At least 3 years of Python experience
Experience with code version control (Git)
Advanced skills in a selection of: TensorFlow, Torch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, Kedro, OpenCV, Docker, Spark, SQL, Plotly, Matplotlib, etc.
Experience with the following would be a plus:
LLM and agentic workflows
Computer vision
MLOPs
Data annotation/curation and active learning
Mathematical optimizations
Good English skills are a given for you and German would be a plus
