Your future role: Senior Back-End Engineer (m/w/x) – Focus AI

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backbone of our software solutions. Are you passionate about building robust and scalable systems? Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges and collaborating with a dynamic team? Great! Among other things, you will master these tasks in your job as a Back End Engineer:

design, develop, and maintain backend services that ensure reliability, scalability, and performance
implement APIs and integrations that connect web front-ends with external systems and data sources
write clean, maintainable code and place strong emphasis on automated testing and code quality
monitor, optimize, and operate complex software systems to guarantee stability and high availability
stay curious and up to date with emerging technologies, bringing fresh ideas to push our products forward
take ownership of your work, from concept to deployment, and contribute your own solutions to real challenges
collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to transform requirements into impactful backend solutions

completed a degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Computer Science or a related field and bring at least one year of professional experience in Software Engineering
enthusiastic about solving challenging problems and proficient in at least one programming language such as Java, Kotlin, C++, or C#
comfortable working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), experienced in connecting external services, and familiar with agile development processes (SCRUM, CI/CD)
bring a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset that helps you contribute effectively to the team
open, collaborative, and motivated to play a key role in shaping craftworks’ success story while continuously developing yourself
proficient in English, with German language skills being a plus
nice to have: experience in frontend development (e.g. Angular)
technology stack includes Java, Kotlin, or C++ with Spring (Boot) experience being a strong advantage
