Could you start by explaining how you ended up at craftworks?

I was looking for a new challenge in a dynamic and modern working environment. When I saw the Job Ad I immediately liked the position, the field craftworks is working in and was excited about the culture and the values, as well as the work ethic. I really wanted to get the job and even more when proceeding in the interview process.

Can you tell me what your position at craftworks is and what you are working on right now?

My position is called Head of People and the people department is responsible for a smooth employee lifecycle as well as behavior and culture at craftworks. It’s my third week, so mainly I'm getting to know the company, the people, the systems, processes and unwritten rules. Apart from that I’m working on next year’s strategic department goals and operational topics.

What energizes you at work?

People enjoying their work, team spirit, feelings of success in my day to day work, to laugh

Could you describe craftworks in 3 words?

team spirit, quality and experts

What difference do you notice compared to your previous employment?

The people are enthusiastic about the company, the peers and their duties here.

How do you keep developing your professional skills?

Besides training myself on and off the job I learn a lot from interaction with peers.

What's the best advice you were ever given?

Stop overthinking.

Could you tell us more about yourself? For example: what are your hobbies and where do you like to spend your time most?

I like pottery and crafting things out of clay. I like reading books and graphic novels and spending time with my family. Besides that, I love to treat myself with some casual fine dining.

Who or what has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?

I don't have a specific role model, but got influenced by colleagues, superiors throughout my career or specialists in my field as well as approaches I read or learn about.

If you were the only human left on Earth, what would you do?

Although I like me-time a lot, I would search for other living beings and animals. Companionship is essential to me.
